Listed as a critically endangered species, the Sumatran Tiger is the rarest and smallest of all living tigers. Making its home in the forests with a dense understory cover, this feline has been coaxed out of the shadows to reveal its coat of bold stripes and saturated orange and the pronounced ruff for which the males of this species are so famous. With the tiger's pattern already such a masterpiece, Herend's artists have chosen simply to amplify the natural beauty that is already there.
