From the writhing serpent-like pattern to the crown of fire and horns of lightning, the heat and drama of this medieval dragon seem to radiate off of the figurine. In this case, the artists at Herend have appropriately abandoned a subtle approach and have created a quivering, fuming dragon seemingly caught in the middle of some activity - perhaps an imminent defensive strike with its powerful tail. However, with so many intense emotions on display, only a fool would say he did not see it coming.
