Putting a spotlight on popular members of the avian chorus, the songbird ginger jar highlights a robin, warbler, and chickadee resting between performances while sitting on a branch. Adding movement to the piece is a dramatic, undulating layer of mosaic fishnet painted in saturated, rich colors which seem to move and shimmer, thereby making the birds seem to vibrate in anticipation of singing their next note.
