Details

Method: The first layer of glass is rolled in shimmering sand and then on the second layer of clear glass the 4 colour bubbles are blown up with compressed air, a metal bar is used to push into the clear glass to leave five indents, when the next layer of clear glass is taken from the furnace air is trapped in the indents creating clear bubbles. Once cool the intricate facets are cut and polished by hand using diamond embedded cutting wheels and discs.
